Health Department is scheduling appointments for energy assistance – Canton, IL – Canton Daily Ledger.

Households that contain a member receiving social security disability benefits or with a current pending determination case at the Social Security Administration. Required documentation includes a letter of determination from the Social Security Administration or receipt of social security disability benefit statement.
Income guidelines are based on past 30 days gross income: 1 person in household, up to $1,396; 2 persons, $1,891; 3, $2,386; 4, $2,881; 5, $3,376; 6, $3,871; 7, $4,366; 8, $4,861.
Those who apply must show proof (copies) at their appointment of social security cards for all household members, proof of disability if disabled, proof of current heat/electric bill, proof of the past 30 days of gross income for all household members (SS, SSI, pension, TANF, child support, alimony, check stubs, rental income, Workman’s Comp, sick pay, interest

 

If you are on Social Security Disability or applying for disability do not forget to check with your state and local ares to see if you may qualify for any assistance.  Both Ohio and Pennsylvania do have energy assistance programs.
